Article Processing Charges
International Journal for Public Policy, Law and Development (IJPLD) is organized by JQR Publication, a self-sustaining organization that operates independently without financial support from any institution or government. The journal's operations are funded entirely through handling fees from authors and contributions from academic or corporate sponsors. These fees are essential for maintaining the journal's operations. As an Open Access Journal, the International Journal for Public Policy, Law and Development (IJPLD) does not charge for subscriptions, as all articles are freely available online. Authors are required to pay a reasonable handling fee only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication. There are no fees for submitting a manuscript.

Purpose of the Article Processing Charges (APC)
The APC supports the following key aspects of the publication process:
- Editorial Processing: This includes the review and management of manuscripts by our editorial team, ensuring that each submission meets our rigorous standards for quality and relevance.
- Peer Review: Costs related to the selection, management, and compensation of peer reviewers who provide critical feedback on submitted manuscripts.
- Typesetting: Professional formatting and layout of articles to ensure they meet publication standards and are accessible to our global readership.
- Digital Archiving: Maintenance of digital records and long-term preservation of published articles to ensure ongoing accessibility and integrity.
APC Rates and Payment
The current APC rates are set to reflect the level of service and quality provided by our journal. The rates are reviewed periodically and updated on our website. Authors are encouraged to consult our website for the most recent information on APC rates.
Waiver and Discount Policy
We recognize the financial constraints that may affect authors, particularly those from low and middle income countries. To support equitable access to publication opportunities, IJPLD offers the following:
- APC Waivers: Available for authors from countries with limited financial resources. Waivers are granted based on the author's affiliation and specific circumstances.
- Discounts: Partial discounts on the APC are offered to authors from low and middle income countries as classified by the World Bank.
To apply for a waiver or discount, authors must provide relevant documentation as outlined on our website. We are committed to ensuring that the publication process is as accessible and transparent as possible, and our team is available to address any queries related to the APC.
By supporting IJPLD through the APC, authors contribute to the sustainability of open access publishing and the dissemination of research across the Public Policy and Law community.
Note: All submissions accepted for publication are subject to a minimum base article processing charge (APC), details of which will be provided upon acceptance.
